Why summer is still a good time
Starting in summer means you keep a steady 4 to 8 week rhythm and finish sooner. What matters is not the season but whether the treated skin is tanned on the day. Areas covered by clothes, such as bikini and underarms, are rarely an issue.
Sun rules in summer
Avoid tanning and sunbeds for 2 weeks before a session. After a session, keep the area out of direct sun for 48 hours and use SPF 50 on exposed areas like face, arms and legs. If you come back from the beach tanned, tell the branch; the doctor may adjust the machine or postpone that area.
The beach and the pool
Skip swimming pools and the sea for 24 to 48 hours after a session, since chlorine, salt and sun can irritate freshly treated skin.
Laser during Ramadan
Laser works on the skin surface and does not involve eating, drinking or injections, so it does not break the fast. Many people prefer sessions after iftar. If you feel tired while fasting, book later in the evening.
Before Eid and before summer
If you want smooth skin for Eid or a holiday, start a few months early. The first sessions reduce hair noticeably, but the full course takes several months.
